Sales and Marketing Executive Joins MedKeeper (6/30/2009)
MedKeeper announced today that Jan Rutherford, with over 25 years of healthcare experience, has joined the MedKeeper organization as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Jan will be responsible for all facets of sales and marketing to accelerate the growth of the organization.
“I have known Jan for many years, and we know his leadership will be an asset to the MedKeeper team,” said Jason Kilgour, President and CEO. “We have roughly 600 hospital clients, and many products in development where Jan’s leadership will fuel our significant growth plans.”
“Jason has built a great organization, with an outstanding reputation, and I am excited to be a part of the next phase of MedKeeper’s growth,” said Rutherford.
Jan has held a variety of leadership roles that have spanned marketing, sales, business development, information technology, and training with Novartis, Thomson Micromedex, WellDyneRx, HealthGrades and predecessor companies to sanofi-aventis. Jan is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Colorado and the University of Denver where he teaches leadership to graduate students and Doctor of Nursing Practice candidates. He has also been a speaker at industry conferences in Europe and the United States. Prior to beginning his business career, he spent six years in the US Army Special Forces as a medic and an “A” team executive officer, and three years as a military intelligence officer. Jan holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida where he was a Distinguished Military Graduate.
