Top 5 Hospital Selects MedKeeper’s MedBoard (7/28/2009)

MedKeeper announced today that a U.S. News & World Report Top-5 hospital has selected MedBoard™ as its hospital pharmacy Medication Tracking System. With MedBoard™, medications are tracked throughout the preparation, approval and delivery processes using wireless and tethered barcode scanners. Real-time data is then made available to pharmacy and nursing users via a secure, HIPAA-compliant website. MedBoard™ was selected to enhance productivity and workflow efficiency by queuing and prioritizing orders to decrease calls to pharmacy and minimize lookups. In addition, it is expected that MedBoard™ will help eliminate diversion, reduce waste and re-work of orders while enhancing communication between nursing and pharmacy. Lastly, MedBoard™ will be used to to improve and quantify pharmacy delivery times, which in turn will justify staffing levels and enhance patient safety.
